The Maynooth University Department of Computer Science is inviting applications for PhD Studentship in Computer Vision for Autonomous Vehicles. International students are eligible to apply for this studentship programme.
Maynooth University is home to the happiest international students in Europe according to the Study Portals International Student Satisfaction Award. Along with the Students’ Union, there are over 100 clubs and societies on campus, providing the lifeblood of student activity.
The topic of the PhD is robust data-association in multi-session and collaborative simultaneous localisation and mapping (SLAM). Solutions to this problem are particularly relevant in autonomous vehicle settings where algorithms are required to relate visual sensor data from repeated trajectories through the same environment across long time scales (e.g. months or years).
LEVEL/ FIELD OF STUDY:
Studentship is available to pursue PhD programme. The Studentship is awarded in the field of Computer Vision for Autonomous Vehicles. The topic of the PhD is robust data-association in multi-session and collaborative simultaneous localisation and mapping (SLAM).
Scholarship can be taken in Ireland.
