Fiddlershop Music Scholarship Program 2017


Applications are currently invited by Fiddlershop for the prestigious Fiddlershop Music Scholarship Program. This scholarship is designed for violinists of any skill level and playing ability. All applicants must currently or will be attending college or university in the United States. To apply, applicants are required to write an essay on the defined topic below. Entries must be received no later than December 1, 2017.

Award Value
The winner will receive $500 cash. Winner may also opt for a Holstein Traditional Panette Violin (worth $1600) instead.

Level and Area of Studies
Undergraduate or graduate level in any field of studies.

Place of Study
In the United States of America.

Eligibility and Criteria
All candidates must meet the requirements as follow:

  • Play the violin
  • Be a legal resident of the United States or hold a valid student visa
  • Enrolled in or accepted to a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in any accredited U.S. university, college, or school

Applicants’ Nationality
The United States citizens are invited to apply.

Application Instruction
To apply, please write an essay answering the following question: What does playing the violin mean to you?. Submit your essay to as a Microsoft word file attachment before the deadline.

Important Dates
The application is due December 1, 2017. The winner will be announced on December 15, 2017.
